About me
"My painting is like my soul... dark and colorful. My inspiration comes from my origins, but my art aims to be universal."
Professional Experience
Born in 1969 in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, I spent my youth in the suburbs of Paris. I am currently working as a graphic designer at a communication agency. I obtained a scientific baccalaureate and then pursued university studies in plastic arts at Paris VIII, earning a degree in 1993. I completed my education with graphic design training at a private school until 1995.
I have been drawing and painting since I was very young. Starting at the age of 11, I took classes at the municipal workshop in Aubervilliers. I further enhanced my drawing skills by taking courses at the university. I participated twice in the Salon des Artistes Indépendants in 2008 and 2009 and recently in the Salon d'Automne 2023-24.
In a few words:
My sources of inspiration include figurative art, Renaissance art, and Art Nouveau, embodied by Mucha and Klimt, among others, as well as my Afro-Caribbean heritage.
The subjects of my works aim to be timeless and universal, confronting humanity both as individuals and in societal dimensions with a hostile world that we have nonetheless helped to shape. My paintings reflect our struggles to survive in this frightening world of which we are the infernal architects.
